List of Board of Advisors chairs

Note: information in this table is in the process of being verified.

From the Section's founding in 1966, the Executive Committee and the Board of Advisors were not integrated, with Section officers executing the will of the Board and generally serving on the Board ex officio, without voting privileges in Board activities. The By-Laws of 1984-03-19 eliminated the position of Vice-Chair and combined the position of Chair of the Board of Advisors with a newly created position of Chair-Elect. Terminology from 1966 was "chairman" until replaced with "chairperson" in the 1984-03-19 By-Laws and "chair" via Board policy ratification on 2006-11-12 and By-Laws amendment on 2021-05-26.
