Notes:
- The Program Committee Chairman position was created during the meeting of the Board of Advisors on 1985-04-21. The Section Year transitioned during that same meeting, and the first Program Chairman was appointed as the first order of business by the new Section Chairman.
- The Papers Chairperson position was created during the meeting of the Board of Advisors on 1986-05-04. The original purpose of this position was to maintain and handle sales of previous papers proceedings to relieve burden on the Treasurer. This position was rescoped during the 2006-11-12 Board of Advisors meeting into the Vice-Chair position to allow flexible sharing of duties and workload with the Program Chair.
- The Combustion Art Competition was sanctioned by the Board of Advisors during its meeting of 2004-03-21. The first chair appointed during that meeting was Nick G. Glumac, who was to be assisted by Ajay K. Agrawal.
- The Outreach Chair position was created during the meeting of the Board of Advisors on 2010-11-07.
